BATON ROUGE — Southern University started its football season over the weekend with a 30-17 loss against Alabama State.

Now, fresh off the loss, head coach Marshall Faulk is preparing the Jaguars for the team's home debut against the Kentucky State Thorobreds.

Faulk was originally set to speak to the media following Tuesday's practice around 12:30 p.m., but this news conference was postponed to Wednesday following a power outage on Southern's campus.

The Jaguars return to The Bluff on Saturday at 6 p.m.
