PLAQUEMINE - The Iberville Parish School Board is asking for the community’s input in its search for a new superintendent.

The school board opened a survey ahead of next week's interviews for the job. The survey asks community members for their preferences for leadership qualities and priorities that the prospective new superintendent should have. 

The survey can be found here. It is open through Friday. 

If you’d like to get involved, complete the IPSB Superintendent Survey to provide input on the leadership qualities and priorities.

The first round of interviews for superintendent is set for Sept. 8.

Rebecca Johnson, who is the current executive director of academics at Iberville Parish, goes first at 4 p.m.

She is followed by Laura Roussel, chief academic officer at Jefferson Parish Schools, at 5:30 p.m.

Dr. Emily Martin, a director of English learner programming and instructional support at a K-12 school, will be interviewed at 7 p.m.

The second round takes place Sept. 9, with Dr. Clarence Robinson interviewing at 5 p.m. and Dr. Shekeitra Matthews at 6:30 p.m. Robinson's application listed him as a consultant and Matthews is the head leader at InspireNOLA charter schools.
