BATON ROUGE - Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey added some more size to her roster with the addition of 6-foot-5 Russian post player Anna Minaeva. Minaeva would be tied for the tallest on the roster with Kate Koval.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Anna to our LSU family,” Mulkey said. “She has the experience, skill set, and size to make an immediate impact in our frontcourt. It takes tremendous courage to leave home at just 17 years old and travel across the world to pursue a dream. I’m excited to support and guide Anna as she begins this next chapter at LSU.”

Minaeva's been playing professional ball in Moscow, Russia, for MBA Moscow.

Minaeva's signing marks another example of Coach Mulkey going after size in the last several months. After the Tigers were eliminated by Duke in the Sweet Sixteen back in March, Mulkey has added Minaeva, the 6-foot-6 center Caroline Bradley, and 6-foot-3 Noa Morro from Spain.

Bradley is ranked as the top player in the state of Louisiana and the top center in the country for the high school class of 2027.
