GONZALES — More than 1,000 people were without power in Gonzales on Thursday after a vehicle struck a utility pole early in the morning.

The crash happened along Airline Highway near La. 30 around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Entergy outage data shows. 

The outage affected areas along Airline, with several traffic lights and residential areas also without power. Lights at the following intersections are being affected: 

La. 30 and Airline Highway
Roddy Road and Airline Highway
Weber City Road (La. 429) and La. 22

By 8:20 a.m., 600 people were still without power.

Entergy estimates power will be restored around 1 p.m.
