Pointe Coupee takes down Episcopal 25-17

BATON ROUGE - The first two drives of the Episcopal-Catholic of Point Coupee game were very different. Point Coupee took three plays and about 90 seconds to score the game-opening touchdown on a pass to Edwin Williams, while on the ensuing Episcopal drive, the Knights took almost 10 minutes off the clock.
The game had a strange amount of Hail Mary-type throws that both teams benefitted from. On Episcopal's first touchdown drive, the snap went over QB Michael Kellerher's head, and the senior just threw it up for Aidan Bradford, and Bradford miraculously made the catch. That made the game 7-6 for the Knights after the extra point.
A few drives later, the Hornets had some magic of their own. After an interception from Myka Nipple set up Pointe Coupee in prime field position, Hornets QB Michael Battiste threw a bullet for Edwin Williams, who made his second touchdown grab of the night.
Pointe Coupee won the game 25-17.
