BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission is highlighting its "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign running through Labor Day, Sept. 7.

The campaign includes a large law enforcement presence, with State Police Superintendent Frank Besson and Baton Rouge Police Chief TJ Morse taking part.

"The resources we get from Louisiana Highway Safety Commission allows us to put more officers on the street, grant money and overtime, where we can look for the signs of people driving impaired and make traffic stops and get those people off streets," Morse said. "We're also going to see an increase in checkpoints to really go after those people that are trying to put others at risk and others in danger."

The campaign started Aug. 19 and runs through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
