Baton Rouge veterans honored at Purple Heart Day ceremony
BATON ROUGE — Purple Heart Day was commemorated in Baton Rouge, honoring Americans who were wounded or killed in action while serving in the armed forces.
Mayor-President Sid Edwards spoke to a group gathered on the first floor of City Hall.
"So I'm just honored to be here; we will always honor our heroes. Thank you all for attending," Edwards said.
