BATON ROUGE — Capital Region Crime Stoppers held its annual awards luncheon at the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge.

Awards were handed out to law enforcement officers across various agencies.

"We honor the officers and the media members as well, that help us during the year. The officers follow up on the tips that we give them and leads to the arrests, so we honor them today," said Jonny Dunnam with Capital Region Crime Stoppers. "And we also honor the partnership we have with the media that gets out the message that helps us solve these unsolved cases."

Dunnam said the event is also one of Capital Region Crime Stoppers' biggest fundraisers of the year.
