BATON ROUGE — District Attorney Hillar Moore's office is investigating an alleged rape involving an LSU football player and a student that reportedly happened on campus last fall, his office announced Tuesday. 

The October 2025 incident, Moore's office said, was previously addressed through a campus-level investigation, and both the LSU and Baton Rouge police departments have information about the case. 

According to Moore's office, the matter was first brought to the 19th JDC on Tuesday. 

"I have requested all reports, interviews, evidence and other relevant records from LSU, LSU Police Department, the Baton Rouge Police Department, the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office and any other agency possessing information related to this matter," Moore said in a statement, adding that his office would not be providing any further comment at this time.

In a social media video posted Sept. 14, TikTok user Kendall Danielle alleged that she was raped by a football player who was found liable during the school's Title IX investigation. She said he was allowed to appeal the decision and return to campus, despite him receiving a year-long suspension.

The alleged victim said that after posting her first video, she decided to press criminal charges. In a follow-up video posted Monday, she said that she reported the assault to BRPD, and officers directed her to LSUPD since the alleged incident happened in its jurisdiction. 

WBRZ has requested information about the situation from the university. The player's name has not been made public.
