LSU Phi Gamma Delta fraternity's interim suspension lifted, can resume normal activities
BATON ROUGE — The LSU Phi Gamma Delta fraternity may resume normal activities after a temporary suspension over hazing allegations was lifted, The Advocate reports.
The Phi Gamma Delta chapter, also called FIJI, was suspended in late September when its members were accused of forcing pledges to chug milk until they vomited.
According to a statement from the LSU Division of Student Affairs obtained by The Advocate, the suspension was officially revoked on Thursday, allowing the fraternity to resume all normal activities, including member meetings and social activities.
FIJI was not the only LSU fraternity facing scrutiny, as the Delta Kappa Epsilon chapter remains under investigation for a hazing incident characterized as "strenuous physical activity and physical brutality."
