BATON ROUGE - A big key for the Southern Jaguars was to start fast in the matchup against LCU, and the Jags did just that. 

They got on the board early with running back Trey Holly rushing for a 2 yd TD coming off a near-perfect opening drive. 

The offense showed no signs of slowing down in the first, tacking on another 69-yard touchdown for Holly and an 18-yard touchdown to Wide Receiver Daejawn Smith, putting the Jaguars up 21-7. 

Quarterback Christian Johnson got in on the action early in the second quarter, rushing for a 15-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 27-7.
