LIVINGSTON — The Livingston Parish Library invited residents to celebrate literature and comic book culture at Book-Con on Saturday at the Main Branch location.

Book-Con is the result of merging the annual Livingston Parish Book Festival and Comic Con, building on the popularity of both events. 

The convention featured local authors, comic book vendors, artists, food trucks and hands-on activities for a day of fun. 

This year's theme was Celebrating All Stories, with the free event also offering a cosplay contest where contestants dressed as their favorite character for a chance to win prizes.
