Warm and muggy air will continue to fuel daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms through Saturday. A cold front will arrive on Easter Sunday, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures and dreary conditions to end the weekend.

Thursday to Saturday: scattered showers and thunderstorms

Easter: cooler and damp

Early Next Week: drier with some sun

Tonight & Tomorrow: Any showers and thunderstorms will taper through the evening hours. With a little bit of clearing, low temperatures will stay warm with lows in the upper 60s and plenty of humidity. Friday will bring less widespread rain compared to Thursday. Expect a good amount of cloud cover with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms developing as temperatures heat up into the mid-80s.

Up Next: Saturday will stay warm and humid ahead of an approaching cold front. After highs in the low 80s, showers and thunderstorms are expected to pick up in coverage later Saturday afternoon into the night, marking the beginning of a significant weather pattern shift. Early on Easter Sunday—perhaps before dawn—the cold front will push through, bringing a batch of rain and thunderstorms. The timing and speed of this front remain a bit uncertain, which will directly influence how long the rain lasts. Prepare an indoor backup option in case of straggling showers. Rain or not, the second half of the weekend will be mainly cloudy and cooler with temperatures considerably lower behind the front, in the mid to upper 60s.

Once the front passes, the start of next week looks quiet and cool. Some clouds may stick around on Monday, but more sunshine is anticipated for Tuesday and Wednesday with afternoon highs in the 70s. The most noticeable change will be the crisp mornings; low temperatures will drop into the upper 40s and low 50s, finally allowing a chance to turn off the air conditioner and open the windows.
