PORT ALLEN — The West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 2027 Leadership West class. 

Leadership West is a collaborative program between the West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce and community partners to develop current and emerging leaders in the parish by equipping participants with leadership skills, fostering civic engagement and empowering participants to make an impact in their local communities. 

The program includes a nine-session curriculum exploring various topics, including local government, business, economic development and other key aspects of West Baton Rouge Parish. 

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with local leaders to gain insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the parish. 

Applicants must either live or work in West Baton Rouge or be a West Baton Rouge Chamber member, with tuition for the program costing $1,500.

Applications will be accepted through Nov. 1.
