21 people arrested following investigation into the Mansion Gentlemen's Club in Amite

AMITE — Twenty-one people were arrested following an investigation into Butler's Bar and Grill, also known as the Mansion Gentlemen's Club, in Amite on Sunday, according to the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Department. 

On Sunday around 2 a.m., several warrants were served, leading to 21 arrests on various charges, including possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of firearms and aggravated flight from an officer.

According to the St. Helena Sheriff's Office, the Mansion Gentlemen's Club has officially been shut down, with the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office issuing a cease and desist order.

The Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control Agency has several violations on the way, as the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has issued a notice of violation and the sheriff's office has revoked the establishment's occupational license. 

According to the sheriff's office, the investigation took more than 14 months with several other agencies involved, including the Livingston, Tangipahoa, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Offices, the Hammond Police Department, the 21st Judicial District Attorney's Office, the Pike County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
