BATON ROUGE — Dozens of people gathered at the Main Library on Goodwood to celebrate the legacy of late country music star Dolly Parton.

The non-profit Dolly Diamonds hosted the event, called "Nine-to-Five" Day.

Guests danced to her iconic songs and participated in a Dolly look-a-like contest. They also watched her movie "9 to 5" and learned more about Parton's Imagination Library.

The Imagination Library program gifts free children's books to families.

Organizers told WBRZ how much Parton meant to the community. The Metro Council declared Sept. 25 as Dolly Day.
