HAMMOND — All four teenagers wanted in connection with a vehicle pursuit have been taken into custody, according to the Hammond Police Department.

After an arrest warrant was obtained and signed by a judge, Hammond police reached out to Chief Suarez of the Independence Police Department. Chief Suarez and Independence police officers went to the suspect's residence and took the teenager into custody within minutes of being notified.

All four suspects are teenagers and have been placed in the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.

"Let me be perfectly clear — if you come into Hammond and commit crimes, we will find you," Chief Edwin Bergeron Jr said. "We will track you down, we will use every legal means available, and we will not stop until you are in custody. There is no place to hide from accountability in this city."

The case is now moving forward through the juvenile justice system.
