Community rallies around Entourage Salon after fire
BATON ROUGE - On Monday, yellow caution tape surrounded the remains of Entourage Salon on Greenwell Springs Road after a fire swept through the business.
A dumpster was full of debris from the cleanup, while an open ceiling exposed part of the building to the sky.
Co-owner Debbie Bueche said she vividly remembers realizing the salon was on fire.
"I walked into the kitchen and smelled wire burning and grabbed the fire extinguisher and started to go upstairs, and the smoke was too thick and came back down and called 9-1-1," Bueche said.
Now, the focus has shifted from what the fire destroyed to how the community can help Entourage move forward.
Capalli Salon in Central opened its doors to provide the Entourage team with a temporary place to work as cleanup and rebuilding begin.
Bueche's daughter, Danielle Bueche, also co-owns Entourage. The family said the help from another salon will give them a place to continue working while they determine what comes next.

"I was worried that we were going to have to close down Entourage for good, but there's hope now that we will be able to rebuild," Danielle Bueche said.
The support extends beyond the salon community. Highland Home Contractors has also stepped in to help restore the roof, allowing the Entourage team to focus on rebuilding the business.
For Debbie, Danielle and the rest of the Entourage team, that help is giving them a path forward after the fire.
