CENTRAL — Westbound traffic along Hooper Road was blocked at Blackwater Road after a Friday morning crash. 

The crash injured four people, who were taken to a local hospital by Baton Rouge EMS, Central Fire officials said. 

The crash happened around 6:35 a.m.

The roadway has since reopened, but the crash also damaged a traffic signal box, which Central Fire says means the traffic light will be out "for a while."
