CARVILLE — The Carville bridge in St. Gabriel will be closed for several weeks along Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, according to the St. Gabriel Police Department. 

The closure beginning on Sept. 17 is expected to last for six to eight weeks.

Drivers in the area should use La. 3115 to travel to and from Carville.
